What kind of in-home care services do you offer for dogs?
Our in-home pet care service allows your pets to stay in the comfort and familiarity of their own home while you're away. We visit them throughout the day to provide feeding, companionship, exercise, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. We offer flexible visit schedules to suit your pet's routine, whether they need one visit or several visits throughout the day. Every visit is tailored to your pet & includes feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles, medication (if required), and a general check to ensure they're happy and comfortable. Absolutely, we understand that pets thrive on routine, so we'll follow their normal routine as per your instructions.
How many visits can you provide each day?
We offer flexible visit schedules to suit your pet's routine. Our in-home pet care generally includes 3 x 1 hour visits per day, morning, after lucnch and late evening. This can be tailored to your requirements with additional visits added.
What happens during a visit?
Every visit is tailored to your pet includes feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, walks, playtime, cuddles, medication (if required), and a general check to ensure they're happy and comfortable.
Will you follow my pet's normal routine?
Absolutely. We understand that pets thrive on routine, so we'll follow their normal routine as per your instructions.
Will you keep my house secure?
Absolutely. We treat every home with the utmost respect, ensuring doors and windows are locked, alarms are set (where applicable), and keys are kept secure.
Do you send updates?
Of course! We'll send regular updates videos and photos so you can see how your pet is getting on and enjoy complete peace of mind.
What happens in the case of an emergency?
If your pet becomes ill or there's an emergency, we'll contact you immediately. If urgent veterinary treatment is required, we'll act in your pet's best interests while keeping you informed throughout.
Do you need a key to my home?
Yes. We'll discuss the safest way to provide access during your meet-and-greet. All keys are stored securely and used only for your booked visits.
Can you provide references or reviews?
Yes! We'd be happy to share reviews from our wonderful clients so you can book with confidence.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, particularly during school holidays, bank holidays, and peak travel periods, as availability fills quickly and we unfortunately cannot always accommodate everyone as much as we would like to.

How can I get started or book your in-home care services?
Getting started is easy! Simply get in touch with Harbour Hounds by phone, email, or through our website to discuss your pet's needs and the dates you require. We'll then arrange a free meet-and-greet at your home/ suggest a walk. This gives us the opportunity to meet you and your pet, learn about their routine, discuss feeding, walks, medication, and any special requirements, as well as answer any questions you may have. Once you're happy to go ahead, we'll create a personalised care plan and confirm your booking. You can head away knowing your pet will be cared for in the comfort of their own home by someone they know and trust.
What makes your in-home care special or better than other options?
Will my dog always see the same person each day?
Yes. We believe consistency is important, so your dog will be cared for by the same familiar face. In the case of any change we will notify you, although this would be unlikely and only in the case of an emergency.
