About Harbour Hounds

Harbour Hounds was born out of a lifelong love for dogs. After sadly losing my own beloved dog to old age a few years ago, I found it difficult to think about getting another one straight away. However, my passion for being around dogs never left me.

Starting Harbour Hounds became a way to stay connected to what I love most—spending time with dogs, caring for them, and making a positive difference in their day. It allows me to combine that love with a purpose, ensuring other people’s dogs are happy, exercised, and well cared for when their owners can’t be there.

Every walk is done with genuine care, patience, and attention, because I understand just how much dogs mean to their families.

Our ideal customers are dog owners who see their pets as part of the family and want them to receive the same level of care, attention, and respect they would give themselves.

This includes busy professionals, families, new puppy owners, and people with energetic or social dogs who need regular exercise, structure, and companionship during the day. We also work closely with owners of rescue dogs or dogs that may need a bit more patience, confidence-building, or gentle training support.

For their dogs, we want every experience to be positive, calm, and enriching. Walks should be something they look forward to—full of safe exploration, exercise, socialisation where appropriate, and mental stimulation.

For owners, the experience should feel completely stress-free. They should have full trust that their dog is safe, happy, and well cared for, with clear communication and peace of mind every time they’re away.
