Harbour Hounds Dog Walking Policies
Harbour Hounds Dog Walking Policy
At Harbour Hounds, your dog's safety, happiness and wellbeing are our highest priorities. By booking our dog walking service, you agree to the following:
- Your dog must be fully vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatments.
- Any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, medications or behavioural concerns must be disclosed before walks begin and whenever there are any changes.
- Dogs must wear a secure, well-fitting collar or harness with a legally required ID tag.
- Off-lead walking will only take place with the owner's prior consent and where Harbour Hounds considers it safe and appropriate. We reserve the right to keep any dog on lead if we believe this is in their best interests.
- Walk routes and durations may be adjusted, postponed or cancelled in extreme weather conditions, including excessive heat, storms, ice or other situations where a walk could compromise the safety of your dog or our staff.
- If your dog becomes ill or is injured while in our care, we will contact you as soon as possible. If you cannot be reached and emergency veterinary treatment is required, you authorise Harbour Hounds to seek treatment on your behalf. Any veterinary costs incurred remain the responsibility of the owner.
- Harbour Hounds reserves the right to refuse or discontinue dog walking services if a dog's health, behaviour or temperament presents a risk to themselves, other dogs, members of the public or our staff.
- Owners confirm that all information provided about their dog's health, behaviour and temperament is accurate and complete. Harbour Hounds cannot accept responsibility for incidents arising from undisclosed medical or behavioural issues.
Thank you for trusting Harbour Hounds with your dog's care. We are committed to providing safe, reliable and enjoyable walks tailored to your dog's individual needs.
